Surfaces in contemporary architectures are characterized by structural complexity, by their refined design and by the use of a large variety of materials. These images have been shooted at Expo, with an eye on the repetition of elements. Redundancy and contrasts are involved in some interesting optical phenomena, like the jazzing, in which the boundary line between visual stability and instability (and between regularity and irregularity) could be very thin.
